Bay to Breakers

Bay to Breakers is a SF Tradition. It is technically a 12K race which people actually do run. However, 50,000+people really join the 'race' in costume, with beers in hand, and possibly on a float. It is sort of like a mini mardi gras meets a huge frat party. The parade went right past our house so we saw the first runners come in (Kenyans won) and then saw all of the craziness.

Erik and I watched for most of the race and then met up with our friends Lauren & Mike when they hit our house. We were in the mix of the parade for about 2 miles where we saw people in costume, or no costumes (yes NAKED) on floats, pushing kegs in shopping carts, and more. Below are a few pics:
