1. It's September which means all things apple & pumpkin. To celebrate, I added canned pumpkin to our smoothies in the AM. Yummmm!

2. We are enjoying the apples we picked this weekend! So sweet!

3. Coconut Oil is amazing. We've been adding it to our smoothies and it's so good. A healthy fat! Check this out from Dr. Oz. Coconut oil can also positively affect our hormones for thyroid and blood-sugar control. People who take coconut oil also tend to have improvements in how they handle blood sugar since coconut can help improve insulin use within the body. Coconut oil can boost thyroid function helping to increase metabolism, energy and endurance. It increases digestion and helps to absorb fat-soluble vitamins.

4. Grill Mates

Thanks to Kimmy for introducing us to these marinades. 

Our Safeway only carries the Garlic/Herb/Wine and Mesquite so we've only tried those two. Love both of them and they are only $1.50 per packet!!

5. Maintenance NOT Required

Our Maintenance Required light came on in the car and we put off calling a local Auto Garage to bring it in. I called this garage today with 5 stars on Yelp for being honest. The guy was SO nice and told me not to worry about it and that it comes on every certain number of miles. He also gave me an AWESOME price on brakes.

I saw this photo on Pinterest and cracked up laughing. When the world is crazy and you are stressed out, just look at this dog on the horse and have a laugh!! Been awhile since I stopped and did a Top 5 but I think we need it. 

1. Grateful that although she was at the Marathon watching yesterday, Kimmy was not involved in the bombing. How sick/scary is this whole thing? You know what is the worst part, these events are starting to not be super shocking anymore. :-(

2. I am on a new team at work and feel totally lost. It really sucks feeling this way!! I know this is just for right now and won't last forever though. The fact that I know that has to be in the future makes it seem a little better. 

3. We're going to a friends baby shower on Sunday which should be fun to celebrate them!

4. Tacos tonight. Cannot wait. Haven't had tacos in so long.

1. We are going to San Diego! We booked a trip for our anniversary weekend in May. Can't wait!


2. Orange Shoes. Had a gift card and scored these on a great deal.

3. Girl Scout Cookies
We got our favorite flavors - Tagalongs and Samoas. Thank you Girl Scouts!


4. Biggest Loser Makeover Week. The best episode of the season was on this week. It's so exciting to watch everyone who worked so hard, get a new look. They all feel amazing afterwards! The one & only Tim Gunn was on the show! "What happened to Annnndre?!"


5. It's Erik's birthday this weekend! Can't wait to celebrate!!

It's time for Top 5 Tuesday!

#1 - We're Moving! We are so excited & are already planning on how to pack, move, set up the new place. We get the keys on Friday. Yahoo!

#2 - Babies! I have FOUR friends that are pregnant right now. It's so awesome to see everyone on the verge of something totally new in their lives and be so excited for it. 

#3 - NOT Being sick! We are both officially better and have no colds anymore. Finally. 

#4 - This weather we are having! It can be cold at night but during the day it is sunny & wonderful. 

#5 - Valentine's Day! Some people love it, some hate it. I just think it is a nice day to be happy, wear pink or red, and tell everyone how much you love them.

It's Tuesday and just like last week, here are the Top 5 things of the week so far:

1. I feel about 85% better!!!!! I'm off the Day/Night Quil rotation and can BREATHE!

2. Have dinner plans tomorrow with two good friends. Yay!

3. Got a suuuuper cute top that I can't wait to wear this week

4. We have tickets to the opening of Beer Week here in SF on Friday

5. KIMMY is coming to visit on Friday. Wahoooooooooooo!
