The Dinner Club Girls

Last night was the monthly dinner for Andrea, Nicole & I. We went to Range in the Mission.  I have only been to Range once for drinks back in the Fall, when we went out and got a little crazy!

We started doing monthly dinners back in December and they have been so much fun! We rotate each month on who chooses the restaurant. So far, we've been to Nojo, A16, and Range.

Range is a great place with good, solid, reliable food. Nice range of fish, chicken, and apparently they have a pork dish that is one of the top 100 things to eat in SF. What is also great is that Andrea's friend works at Range and she gave us a free starter and dessert! How nice!

For dinner, we started with nettle stuffed pasta with black truffle butter, shiitake mushrooms and radish sprout

Andrea and I split two dishes of oven roasted chicken with a little gem, pancetta and avocado salad with pearl potatoes and green peppercorn dressing and california swordfish with artichokes, fregola, lucques olives, meyer lemon and green garlic vinaigrette.

For dessert, we all shared meyer lemon cornmeal cake with rosemary ice cream and fennel and butterscotch pudding.

All of the dishes were very good! I would come back to Range and think this is a great place to bring visitors who want straightforward, uncomplicated food.

I've got a monthly dinner club too! We've been doing it for a few years now. It's a standing date on the 2nd Tuesday of the month. It's a great way to try new places.
