Birthday Saturday

Saturday was another fun day celebrating Erik! First, we had brunch at a spot we have heard a lot about and have been wanting to try....Outerlands. It is out near the beach and it is awesome.

It is a really cozy, warm, wooded interior. It was a perfect spot to go on a chilly, gray, morning.

We both had the egg and cheese, open faced sandwich. It was placed on homemade bread and it was delicious!
We also shard a "pot" of coffee that comes in this cool container. They actually place the grounds in a filter and place it on top of the glass. Then, they pour the water over the grounds & filter. It was really good!

After brunch, I gave Erik his final gift. A Ukelele!! He loved it which is awesome!

Erik spent part of the afternoon surfing while Evie and I went for our walk.

After our walk, we chilled out the couch. We watched two movies: Being Elmo and A State of Mind.

Being Elmo was such a great film. It was so cute to see Elmo come to life and the puppeteer behind him. The story of how Elmo was created and how he touches kids lives is really wonderful.

For dinner, we went to Social Kitchen. We shared the brussell sprout chips to start then each had a burger. We also split the fried bananas for dessert which were so good! We also went to the Mucky Duck for a beer after dinner.

It was a really fun day of eating and hanging out together. Happy Birthday Erik!
