Asia de Cuba
Erik and I did something fun last night. We had a really great & expensive dinner for FREE! My company is pitching for new business and they wanted people to go check out the restaurants around the country and report back. Since we are in SF, they asked me! We went to Asia de Cuba which is an asian fusion restaurant this is expensive. They require an $80/pp minimum at dinner on Thurs-Sat.
The portions are HUGE though. We had lobster potstickers, scallops, and butterfish. Then, we had a HUGE dessert called 'Bay of Pigs' which was a gigantic banana split.

Waterbar
Yesterday, it was HOT out here - at least 80 degrees for us. We went out for drinks with our Client who is leaving Clorox. We love her and are sad she is going.

$4.47
Today, I paid $4.47 for a gallon of gas. The highest price I've seen here so far is $4.88 for premium gas. This is sickening. I felt betrayed & violated pumping that gas.

Wasabi
Evie made a new friend in the park yesterday, a little dog named, Wasabi. Of course, I asked the owner, Does she like sushi? ha

I recently listed all of my books on half.com. I realized they are just collecting dust. I either share them with someone else to read and those that I don't, I never read again. In the past two weeks, I sold 4 books and made about $20!
I also have bags of stuff to go to Goodwill but I had 2 really nice dresses that don't fit anymore. I sold those on Ebay, too.

Evie was not allowed in the room as we put the new comforter on. Then, she promptly jumped on and was rolling around. So cute.

New Comforter
We got a new comforter. I love it. Nice & Nautical like I like things. Evie clearly is only allowed on when there is a blanket on top of it.

Fearing $5 gas, Americans cut back
As more Americans become resigned to the possibility of paying $5 for a gallon for gas, they are driving less and seriously considering chucking their gas guzzlers, according to a poll released Monday.
But the effects of high gas prices go beyond driving habits. The poll also shows that 55% of respondents are cutting back significantly on household spending.
How is the economy affecting you? Are you cutting back? Pumping gas for $4.23 a gallon freaks me out. I freaked out that asparagus cost us $6 and the bread we like is $4. Fish is about $20/lb We have not eaten out in a few weeks. The economy is scary and it is making me want to horde my pennies! I'm glad we can take the bus to work so we do not have to pay a lot for gas.

Haight Street Fair
Yesterday was also the Haight Street Fair in famous Haight Ashbury. The fair was packed and we didn't stay that long. Of course, all walks of life were there which is always funny.
Hemp Clothing, of course.
Nice t-shirt.
Nice outfit. Of course, this is 100% acceptable at the fair.

Escape from Alcatraz Triathlon
Yesterday, I volunteered at the Escape from Alcatraz Triathlon. I volunteered with my volunteer group that I love 'Girls on the Run'. It was awesome! We worked at the finish line so I was right there with the TV crew and the press. This was also televised nationally.
The TRI started with a 1.5 mile swim. The athletes were brought by boat out to Alcatraz where they jumped off the boat into 55degree weather and swam 1.5 miles to shore. Then, they ran to their bikes and bike 18 miles. They finished with an 8 mile run.
It was really exciting to be at the finish to see the winners come through. It was also really inspiring considering I am thinking of doing a Tri. At the finish line, my group had to pass out water & Cytomax. It was HARD work. Seriously. We had to keep up with the finishers so we were ripping open cases of water, dumping them in cups, and passing them over the barrier to the finishers. It was a great day though - nice, warm, & sunny.
Of course, I was definitely inspired by the girl who has a prothestic leg who finished. It is always those people who have a difficulty that push through to finish that is so inspiring. Here are the pictures!

Legs.Not.Working.
So, you know how I went to the gym yesterday? I woke up today and my legs are on fire. It hurts to sit, stand, squat & walk down stairs. I really did not think I over did it in anyway but maybe I did. Oh well. Its a good burn. Let me tell you how great my legs felt today though when I was lifting cases of water up and down at the Triathlon today. Oh yah.
Also just realized my nose and forehead are sunburned. And my scalp. Despite the sunscreen I used. But, never put any on my scalp.
Also, Evie and I were playing and her tooth hit my nose and I have a bruise.
Ok enough complaining.
