when you crave things after a workout it's cause you're missing it. like maybe your body needs more calcium or protein (milk & chicken) of course i'm not a doctor and that's just what i tell myself when i'm craving "salt" after a workout - i.e. house a bag of chips

that's odd. I used to chug orange juice after a hard workout (ok so in highschool after practices) bc it supposedly quenches your thirst better.
