Yuppie Friday

On Friday night, my friend Bailey & I volunteered with the organization, Yuppie Friday, for their annual Toys for Tots toy drive and happy hour. Interesting name for a non-profit, I know, but the organization is pretty cool. They hold happy hours every other month that benefit a local charity. How easy is that - show up to have a good time & you are giving back at the same time.

Why the name
We are young (at least in our own minds), we live in an urban area, and we are professionals in our respective industries. So, like it or not, we are Yuppies (Young Urban Professionals). We hold our events on Fridays, which is how YuppieFriday was born.

Yuppie Friday is a group of young urban professionals dedicated to supporting San Francisco philanthropy through cocktails. Our mission is to increase awareness, raise financial support and encourage volunteerism for local Bay Area charities

We sold tickets at the door and collected Toys for Tots.

After our shift was over, Erik came down to meet us for a drink. The event also had a photo booth which we hopped in.

 Jazz Hands!

In other news, Bailey just got a new job which is going to be such an awesome experience for her but I'm super sad she is leaving my company. We worked together when we both first moved to SF, parted ways, and just recently started working together again. It's hard when you really like your coworkers and they move on. Some of my best friends out here were coworkers so if I know we will still see each other and what not but it will be an adjustment at work. :-(
