On Saturday, we had such a busy day. First, we met with our DJ for the wedding to go over everything. Then, we went to look for a new couch. We found this awesome couch but of course, it won't fit in our apartment. We were so bummed. We are actively looking for a new place to live.
After the couch shopping, we went to The Restaurant at Wente Vineyards for lunch. This is an option for our rehearsal dinner so we wanted to check it out. It was wonderful! Our server was amazing - very knowledgeble and helpful. The food was delicious. Everything served there is from within 150 miles - very local and sustainable.
We started with the cauliflower, poblano, preserved tomato dip with sunflower and pumpkin seed crackers
For lunch, I had the Agnolotti of fall squash with fried sage, brown butter and olivina fig balsamic
Erik had the Angus burger with clothbound cheddar, homemade bacon and onion aïoli
We both LOVED our dishes. It was so, so good. We also got a coupon for $25 off our next visit! Great news - we are heading back up there to taste our wedding cake in February so we will gladly go to lunch again!
After lunch, we headed back to SF. First we had to stop at the Hockey store though. Thankfully, I found these giant, foam fingers to amuse myself.
Then, we stopped to get the Christmas stuff out of storage. Finally, I headed back to the East Bay to have dinner with my friend Tiffany. Whew. I was tired when I got home but it was a busy, fun, productive day!
