Linden Street Brewery & The Forge

On Friday night, we went over to Oakland to the Linden Street Brewery. Erik found this brewery at the SF Beer Week Festival we went to a few months ago.

The brewery is a warehouse set up with a few beers on tap. There was casual seating in the brewhouse and outdoor seating. It was a little cold out so we sat inside.

The guys running the brewery were really cool and relaxed. Seemed excited to have people there just chilling & drinking their beer.

Erik had a California Common beer and a brown lager. I had the California Common too & it was really good!

After the brewery, we went to The Forge for dinner. The Forge is a place in Jack London Square that serves wood oven pizza. So good!

Erik had a 1500, which is a pale ale, and I had a honey saison. Yum!
To start, we randomly ordered mussels. Erik really wanted them so we got them.

We also shared two small pizzas: Margherita: mozzarella, tomato sauce and Three Cheese: green garlic, red onion, lemon, arugula

Great kickoff to Erik's birthday weekend!
