Theta Time

Exciting news! I connected with a Theta Alumni group and they let me know that they do a lot of work with the UC Berekeley Theta chapter. I am a Theta and excited to connect with Alumni in the area. The group let me know that the Berkeley Thetas are in need of an alumni liason so I volunteered. Essentially, I hope to be the conduit between the college chapter and the alumni group for whatever they need.

It seems that the Berkeley Thetas often hold events that they need Alumni present for such as Founder's Day, Career Day, etc. I'm happy to help out in anyway I can.

I have to admit, I was pretty resistant to joining a sorority when I went to college. Even once I was accepted INTO Theta, I was not sold on the idea. However, the idea of being a part of something larger, having a great group of people to rely on, and giving back to the community made me really love being a Theta. Ok, and all the fun parties we had also made me love it. haha. I have to say it was probably one of the best decisions I ever made. I had so much fun with my sorority sisters and it is so exciting to meet people who are Thetas today. Being a Theta, I know I have friends in every corner of the world!

I'll let you know what I end up doing with the Berkeley girls!

Fun Fact: Kappa Alpha Theta was the first greek letter fraternity for women....ever!

Did you know that I am the treasurer of the Philly Alumnae Chapter? Who would have thought?

Have fun with the Theta stuff! It's a neat way to connect to women from all over. It's different than other alumni groups where you actually have the same shared physical location (like college or high school). I'd love to hear what things you end up doing.
